Terms & Conditions
1. Booking & Payment
A £100 booking payment is required to secure bookings made more than 14 days before the event. This payment is deducted from the total hire price. Your booking is not confirmed until the booking payment has been received. The remaining balance is due 14 days before your event. For bookings made 14 days or less before the event, full payment is required at the time of booking.
2. Cancellations & Refunds
All cancellations must be made in writing. If you cancel a booking for which you have paid the £100 booking payment, up to £50 of that payment may be retained as a cancellation charge to cover reasonable administration, preparation and losses arising directly from the cancellation. The remaining amount will be refunded unless Starstruck Photo Booth has reasonably incurred greater losses as a direct result of the cancellation. If you cancel after making further or full payment, including a booking made 14 days or less before the event, any refund will depend on the reasonable costs and losses resulting from the cancellation. This may include costs already incurred and loss resulting from the reserved event date being unable to be rebooked. Any amount retained will be reasonable and proportionate to the circumstances. If Starstruck Photo Booth is unable to provide the booked service, all payments received for the affected booking will be refunded in full. This does not affect your statutory rights.
3. Venue Access & Setup
The hirer is responsible for ensuring that we have suitable access to the venue at the agreed setup and collection times. A clear, flat and safe space must be provided for the booth. Unless a cordless hire option has been booked, access to a suitable standard power socket is required.
4. Internet Connection & QR Sharing
The booth normally uses its own mobile data connection for online features and QR photo sharing. Mobile signal and internet availability can vary depending on the venue and location and cannot be guaranteed by Starstruck Photo Booth. Where a reliable internet connection is unavailable, QR sharing or other online features may be temporarily unavailable or delayed. This does not affect the operation of the booth or the taking of photographs. Where necessary, access to photographs will be made available once a suitable internet connection is restored. Venue Wi-Fi is not normally required, although Starstruck Photo Booth may request access to suitable venue Wi-Fi if mobile data coverage at the location is insufficient.
5. Unattended Hire
Starstruck Photo Booth operates primarily as an unattended hire service. Once the booth has been set up and demonstrated where required, it will remain at the venue for guests to use independently during the agreed hire period. The hirer is responsible for taking reasonable care of the booth while it is at the venue. A person over 16 must supervise the booth throughout the hire.
6. Damage, Theft & Misuse
The booth must remain exactly where it has been positioned and set up by Starstruck Photo Booth. The hirer, venue staff and guests must not move, reposition, unplug, disconnect, dismantle, tamper with or otherwise interfere with the booth or any part of the equipment. Nothing may be placed, hung, attached or rested on the booth at any time. The hirer is responsible for taking reasonable care of the booth throughout the hire period, ensuring appropriate supervision and making sure guests comply with these conditions. Visibly intoxicated guests must not use the equipment. Food, drinks and chewing gum must be kept away from the booth. The hirer is responsible for loss or damage arising from misuse, negligence, deliberate damage or failure to comply with these conditions, including the reasonable cost of repair or replacement. Fair wear and tear and equipment faults not caused by the hirer or their guests are excluded. This does not affect the hirer's statutory rights.
7. Children & Guest Use
Children must be appropriately supervised when using or being near the booth. Guests must not climb on, hang from, move or attempt to dismantle any part of the equipment.
8. Collection
The booth must remain in the agreed safe location until collection by Starstruck Photo Booth. The hirer or venue must provide access at the agreed collection time. The booth must not be moved, repositioned, dismantled, unplugged, disconnected or removed by anyone other than Starstruck Photo Booth unless specifically authorised by us in advance.
9. Events Outside & Cordless Hire
Outdoor and cordless hire is subject to the location, weather conditions and suitability of the proposed setup area. The booth must be positioned on a stable, level surface and protected from rain, moisture, strong winds and other unsuitable weather conditions. Equipment must be properly secured or anchored where required and used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. The hirer must ensure that electrical connections and power supplies are used safely. Where a generator is used, electrical equipment must be switched off during refuelling. Starstruck Photo Booth reserves the right to refuse, suspend or discontinue outdoor use where conditions are unsuitable or could compromise the safety of guests or equipment.
10. Equipment & Technical Issues
We take reasonable steps to ensure the booth is fully operational. In the unlikely event of an equipment or technical failure, we will make reasonable efforts to resolve the problem. Where a significant part of the booked service cannot be provided because of an equipment failure within our control, an appropriate partial or full refund may be offered according to the circumstances.
11. Digital Images
Images are supplied digitally. The hirer is responsible for downloading and safely storing their gallery once it has been provided. Starstruck Photo Booth cannot guarantee indefinite storage of event images.
12. Agreement
Before completing a booking, the hirer must confirm that they have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions by ticking the acceptance box during the online booking process. By accepting these Terms & Conditions, the hirer enters into a hire agreement with Starstruck Photo Booth and agrees to comply with all equipment-use, supervision, safety, damage and theft conditions set out above. The hirer accepts responsibility for ensuring that guests comply with these conditions and for loss or damage arising from misuse, negligence or failure to comply, subject to applicable law. The booking is not confirmed until the required booking payment has been received.
